Ge-68 line sources are high quality stainless steel tubes that are used for calibration, system alignment, and resolution testing in PET systems.

Every line source is tested for uniformity using our automated system, which scans the entire length of the source . A uniform line source ensures that transmission scans and detector normalizations will not have activity gaps or hot spots, which helps eliminate possible image artifacts for a higher-quality scan.
