Elliptical Lung-Spine Phantom

Product Description

The Elliptical Lung-Spine Body Phantom includes both the spine and fillable lung inserts. The lung inserts can be filled with polystyrene beads and water to simulate lung tissue density. The phantom simulates the anatomical structures and radioactivity distributions of the upper torso of a human.

Product Use

The phantom can be used in the evaluation of acquisition and reconstruction methods for cardiac and lung studies and the evaluation of non-uniform attenuation and scatter compensation methods. The phantom is a lower cost alternative to the Anthropomorphic torso and does not include the liver feature.
